This order includes an initial lactate measurement that will reflex to a second lactate test 2 hours later if the initial lactate is 2 mmol/L or greater.

Testing Algorithm
If the initial lactate measurement is ≥ 2.0 mmol/L, Lactate, 2 Hour Draw (LABLAC2HR) will be performed at an additional charge.
