Therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) is the specialized measurement of drug concentrations for medications with a narrow therapeutic window. Drug concentrations are used to assess and adjust medication dosage to optimize therapeutic effectiveness while minimizing adverse effects.

Profile Information
All samples have to be labeled with patient name, MRN, date and actual clock time of the blood draw. Samples must be shipped on a minimum of 3 kg of dry ice using an overnight carrier. Also MUST call or email and provide the requisition and tracking information of the package.
Specimen Required
4 mL blood collected in Sodium Heparin tube and placed on ice. Centrifuge asap in a refrigerated centrifuge, separate Sodium Heparin plasma into an aliquot tube and Freeze immediately.
