Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) is the core lipoprotein of all non-HDL lipoproteins. The concentration of ApoB is proportional to the sum of all chylomicrons, VLDL, IDL, Lp(a), and LDL particles present. Testing is useful is cardiovascular disease risk refinement.
