Falsely low cholesterol results may be observed in patients treated with N-Acetyl Cystein (NAC). Venipuncture immediately following or during administration of Metamizole (Dipyrone) may cause falsely low cholesterol results; venipuncture should be performed prior to Metamizole administration.
