Cautions
Substances/conditions that cause abnormal urine color may affect the readability of reagent areas on urinalysis dipstick reagent strips and may cause false positive or false negative results.
Insufficient urine volume can produce erroneous results, including falsely decreased urine microscopic semiquantitative results for WBC, RBC, epithelial cells, casts, and bacteria.
Method Description
DIPSTICK
Dry pad urine chemistry
SPECIFIC GRAVITY
Dry pad urine chemistry or optic refractive index method
URINE MICROSCOPIC
Automatic particle counter and/or manual microscopic
