Clinical Information

This test evaluates chromosomes in 20 cells from peripheral blood sample. This test is used to evaluate for numerical and structural chromosomal abnormalities such as an aneuploidy, chromosome translocation, and chromosome inversion.

Adult: 5-8 mL whole blood collected in Sodium Heparin (plain green) tube.
Child: 3-6 mL whole blood collected in Sodium Heparin (plain green) tube.
Infant: 1-3 mL whole blood collected in Sodium Heparin (plain green) tube.
